Are you having problems with your fan motor and have decided to replace it? We have put together a step-by-step guide so that you, as a customer, can feel secure in carrying out your exchange.

All installations are not done in exactly the same way, but to a large extent. There are many manufacturers of fan motors in particular, some of the largest are for example: IVT, Canvac, Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and many more.

A few things to consider before starting the installation of the Fan motor:

*Turn off the electricity completely, preferably from the plug cabinet.

*Check that the replacement motor and connectors are identical to the old one, before removing the old motor.

Estimated time required: 1h

This is what you need: screwdriver, needle nose pliers, socket wrench 8mm

Step 1.

Start by unscrewing all the screws in the front/grille. When this is done, lift off the cover of the outdoor part and then the front and the grille. Use a screwdriver to make this as easy as possible.

Step 2.

When the front and grill are gone, unscrew the screw in the middle of the fan, then remove the fan from the motor. Use the socket wrench here.

Step 3.

There are 4 screws on the motor that must be removed before you can take it off.

Step 4.

The cable connected to the motor should come off, follow the cable and see where it leads. Disconnect and pull out the cable together with the fan motor using a pair of pliers. A tip is that you take a photo of how the cable is positioned to be able to look back at when the new cable should be connected.

Follow the cable and see where it leads.

The fan motor is now disconnected.

Step 5.

Now that the old motor is disconnected, it's time to insert the new one, screw the new motor in place with the 4 screws.

Route the new cable in the same way as the old one.

Attach the new cable.

Step 6.

Then it's time to put the fan back again, don't forget the screw in the middle.

Step 7.

Put back the front and grille and the cover again with all the screws.

Step 8.

Turn the power back on and you're done!
