Sanyo or Panasonic, as it is today going under, are both well-known brands. Sanyo was founded in Japan in 1947 by Toshio Iue. At the start of their career, they manufactured generator lights for bicycles and over the years they have manufactured various electronics and heat pumps of various kinds.
In 2004, after an earthquake, Sanyo suffered major losses and failed to try to save the company. But in 2009, Panasonic entered the picture and acquired the majority of the shares in Sanyo's company and since 2009 has bought up the rest.
Today, Panasonic has replaced Sanyo's heat pumps with its own. This also applies to the entire Sanyo brand, but the brand can still be found today on products and is also linked to various products for which Sanyo was previously particularly famous. In short, Sanyo's heat pumps are no longer manufactured and the brand hardly exists anymore.
