Not just anyone can and should work with heat pumps. Those who work with installing and servicing heat pumps must have training and be certified.

Ongoing training at heat pump manufacturers

Heat pumps and heating systems are constantly being developed, partly the parts in the machine with also the software with control and with the fact that heat pumps can now be connected to the internet. In order for a service technician to keep up and be able to do a good and professional job repairing or installing heat pumps, it is important to take note of the latest updates from heat pump manufacturers.

The vast majority of serious heat pump manufacturers offer service technician training on new models. It is therefore not an education for private individuals, but you must work as a service technician. by attending these trainings, the service technician gains deeper knowledge of the machine and can then carry out service and repair as well as installation both faster, neater and more efficiently.


Personalskills is located in several locations in Sweden, including Gothenburg, Stockholm and Helsingborg. They train refrigeration and heat pump fitters, among other things. Other educations

There are also other courses you can take if you are interested in working as a heat pump technician. Examples of such educations could be real estate engineer or operations engineer. But you will then need to supplement by certifying yourself.
