Owning a heat pump

When you have bought a heat pump, it does not mean that everything is ready and you do not need to take care of it or look at it. Different heat pumps and types of heat pumps need different supervision and service, some need you to change the filter and warn you when this is the case, while you yourself have to keep track of the filter change on other types and models. Read more about filters and why you should change filters here. Some heat pumps that produce hot water (i.e. not air-to-air heat pumps) can be exposed to magnetite (read more about why you should have a magnetite filter here).

A heat pump that is taken care of will last for many years, but sooner or later it will need to be repaired. Read more about how long a heat pump usually lasts and its lifespan. Here we will give you a couple of suggestions on what you can think about in order for your heat pump to last as long as possible and what you should think about when repairing your heat pump and what you should think about when choosing a service company for your heat pump. Read more about it here. We also explain the pros and cons of hiring a service technician on a variable or fixed price here.

We will continuously update the page with more information and explain how you can make your heat pump last longer and what you should think about when you own a heat pump. If you have any questions or suggestions about what we should write about, please contact us at [email protected].
