IVT is a Swedish company that was founded by three brothers in Tranås, in 1968. Elis, Harald and Billy Peterson manufactured their first ground source heat pump in 1970 and over time acquired a very high system competence in energy solutions for heating and cooling. IVT is and has always been a purely heat pump company and today has a leading market position as a manufacturer and supplier in Sweden. Their research and development focuses on constantly developing more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heat pumps. Their prioritized environmental thinking has led to them being the only ones today to offer a Nordic Ecolabelled heat pump - IVT Greenline. IVT's complete range of air/air, air/water, liquid/water and exhaust air heat pumps has been developed for our Nordic climate and maintains high quality and efficiency.
In 2005, IVT was acquired by German Bosch Thermoteknik (Borsch group's heating division). The acquisition gave IVT completely new conditions for conducting research and development of increasingly environmentally friendly heat pumps. IVT's heat pumps are still developed in-house in Tranås, even though the company is now owned by Bosch.
